Since buying the world renowned franchise, Star Wars, Disney has wasted no time creating new merchandise to prolong and relight the fire behind Star Wars. The biggest evidence of this is the relaunch of the Star Wars saga in creating a new trilogy of movies and movie spin offs.

There has been a lot of excitement surrounding the new and upcoming movie, Rogue One, yet the movie gives an important lifeline to Clone Wars fans with the announcement of Saw Gerrera.

Saw Gerrera was seen in the Onderon Arc in the final season of the Clone Wars before it’s cancellation.

To see a character from an animated show make their way into the live action movie, shows how pivotal The Clone Wars is to enhancing the story of Star Wars. Not only is The Clone Wars and its events relevant, it comes with a backing of many people who have a great excitement for it.

With a panel dedicated to the Clone Wars starlet, Ahsoka Tano, more mysteries and excitement has once again resurrfaced.

At the panel, Dave Filoni would go on to discuss Ahsoka’s journey post Jedi Order all the way into Star Wars Rebels. Something many of the fans had been wondering about since the series cancelation after Season 5.

Ahsoka was planned to have 3 more arcs dedicated to her story throughout the two and half seasons of the Clone Wars, yet the most intriguing information that they revealed was for their planned final arc of the series: “The Siege of Mandalore”.

Voice actor, Ashley Eckstein, knew bits and pieces regarding the series finale but never knew the whole story.

The series finale would see Ahsoka Tano and her master meet one last time, as Anakin and Obi Wan would be called away to “save the Chancellor”. The event fans were most familiar with from the opening scenes of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Before Anakin’s departure, he would give Ahsoka half of the 501st to Ahsoka to lead the charge on Mandalore. Rex would be included, as this new legion would be called the 332th battalion sharing Ahsoka color marks on their armor and helmets.

Upon hearing the full story, Ashley Eckstein burst into tears finally knowing the fate of her character finally in detail. It was an emotional reveal for the fans as well as they had spent the last two years speculating and wondering.

Was it only with the current popularity of the Star Wars franchise that we would be allowed to know what they revealed today?

Since the panel, there has been a stronger demand for the Clone Wars to return. Fans going back into old games, novels, comics and even the show once more to relive the days they most enjoyed at the height of Star Wars.
