Ever since the cancellation of the Clone Wars, we have seen clues of the remaining stories to be at various venues linked with Disney: Books, hints from Star Wars Rebels, and even Star Wars Celebration.

It should also be stated that there is a strong lack of canon content within the time period of the Prequels.

Two of the remaining thirteen arcs have been turned into books:  “Dark Disciple” and  “Son of Dathomir” which go on to explain untold stories of The Clone Wars. Both books being extremely popular after their release.

With the reintroduction of Ahsoka and Rex, Star Wars Rebels had alluded to events that would have occurred in the final arc of The Clone Wars. Rex had stated:

“Ahsoka Tano. I fought by her side from the Battle of Christophsis to the Siege of Mandalore.”

The biggest evidence of the demand for The Clone Wars is what was said during the Star Wars Celebration.

From recent Star Wars Celebrations, like Anahiem, there is a whole panel dedicated to The Clone Wars. Now, why would they continue to stage panels for a show that was cancelled long ago in 2013?

The demand is still there. People want answers.

You know this is a response to you guys , the fans. We were creating so much content for Star Wars Clone Wars. When we finished the series you guys just kept saying, we want more, we want more, Save the Clone Wars. And I hear you.

Supervising Director, Dave Filoni on “Rebel’s Force Radio” would go on to say:

“It’s due to the persistence of the fans, I have a really special panel.

I think the one thing that is exciting and I don’t know what’s released yet because I’ve been working so much, but there’s a great Rebels programing there, but we have definitely have not left Clone Wars people out.

I have definitely arranged for I think some really exciting Clone Wars things, and that’s all motivated by the fans staying so persistent. There isn’t really a time you can go and mention Rebels and not have #SaveTheCloneWars people fragging it. I definitely asked if I could put some stuff together for Clone Wars fans and we’ll see some really exciting things there”

In an interview with IGN from 2013, Dave Filoni hints to the survival of The Clone Wars is up to the fans.

The same is true in a lot of areas for Clone Wars. We had built such a big, expansive world guided by George. So my hope is that over the years, people remain interested in it, and a lot of that stuff will get out over the years. We’ll see more and more of it because there’s a demand for it.

There is hope still for the Clone Wars. There is a demand for the show which makes it significant. Even after all this time, it still matters.
