With the introduction of the Clone Wars, comes an exclusive character that has forever changed the Star Wars storyline, Ahsoka. From season 1 to season 5, Ahsoka grew as an individual right before our eyes, becoming the true star of the show. With the show’s premature cancellation,  the story of Ahsoka and her journey is still obscure.

From what we have learned at Star Wars Celebration 2016, Ahsoka still had 12 episodes lefts within the series. ( 3 arcs consisting of 4 episodes )
The Three remaining arcs
- Ahsoka's Walkabout
- Return to the Jedi temple
- Siege of Mandalore

A familiar face returns as she stars in a book titled with her name: Ahsoka, written by E.K Johnson. Even prior to its release, the expectation and news of its publication stirred excitement for many despite the Clone Wars not being on air for years.

Seeing Ahsoka actively on screen or in the Star Wars merch was simply not commonplace anymore. However, the fans never forgot her.

As shown by Star Wars Underworld, the book was met with immediate success.

"Congratulations are in order for Star Wars author E. K. Johnston, whose novel Star Wars: Ahsoka hit #1 on The New York Times Bestseller list in the Young Adult Hardcover and Young Adult E-Book categories.”

To reach #1 within a launch week is incredible! Yet, in order for a book to become so successful in such little time requires a strong and persistent fanbase. As Nerlist.com alludes to, this book’s success can be traced back to the dedicated Clone Wars Fanbase.

"This is a story for people who already know Ahsoka Tano. You’ll enjoy it if you know her from watching Rebels, but you’ll get the most from your time with her in the book if you spent years with her in The Clone Wars. Fans of Ahsoka are legion—I’m one of them, it’s hard for me to put into words how much this character means to me—and this book is for them.”

The Clone Wars fans are still here, still wanting to see their starlet and the stories of their other favorite heroes finished. That’s something any fan would love to see.

With this said, Ahsoka has come to represent more than just a Star Wars character, but has become a character that many female fans relate to and admire (not unlike Princess Leia). This is especially important when we once again consider how largely male dominated marketing presumes when it comes to producing products from the Star Wars universe.

Though Ahsoka still has yet to make an official appearance in the Star Wars series, she has become a prominent canon favorite character of not only the series but the Star Wars Universe, for many.

When looking up the book under Amazon  Best Seller, the book is linked under the title of: “Best Sellers in Teen & Young Adult Girls & Women Fiction”.

With the Ahsoka Novel being just a taste of The Clone Wars, one can only imagine the profit Disney could make with resurgence in finishing The Clone Wars
